screwed mine up too, got another bike from a friend. tried to insert metal rounded edge bar. Drilled 1/8" hole in both pieces then used 1/8" tungsten carbide burr bit, elongated to 1/4" vertically. Press fit broke off piece on shaft using a 1/8" bar with rounded ends into shaft by freezing it with dry ice.
Powering the Xchallenge is a 652cc, dohc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected Single, a reworked version of the previous F650 engine that’s now equipped with a closed-loop threeway catalytic converter. A claimed 53 horsepower at 7000 rpm, if accurate, would give the Beemer a sizable power advantage over the Husky and especially the Honda.
The G 650 X Challenge is very different than your 03 F650 this is a completely re-designed motorcycle.. it weights at least 60 less pounds, has higher clearance it's not as comfortable as your old 03 The new G 650 X works much better on off-road

The X Country, X Challenge and X Moto (all same engine and chassis, just different styling and wheels) sport the 53hp Rotax built engine, built in the Aprilia factory and the X Country weighs just 158kgs FUELLED.

I have a 640 adventure and really enjoy it, whereas the DR650 IMHO needs a lot of work (including suspension and a big bore kit) to be in the same league. That said, $9K for a 640A in the year 2018 is insane. Also, ride one first. The vibrations on the 640 ruin it for some people, whereas others don't care.
If it's not that mystery screw, I suspect: -small leakage at either bleed screw or copper washers. -Small leakage at caliper piston seals. -Master cylinder seals got tired and worn. -Braided hose has gotten a bit tired (unlikely but not expensive to replace) Hence why I want to find proper replacements for those parts.
Having had Woody just lace up some SM rims for my XChallenge, and after searching far and wide for a cheaper solution, there's unfortunately no real options aside from the $300+ per hub BMW part. Unless you can find used parts, there's no real cheap way to get a different set of wheels on one of the G650X bikes.
650 Xchallenge. Been a while since i last posted, i have been looking at either a f650 dakar or now since i have seen the new xchallenge i have been drawn towards it.
